Connect Driver Solutions North East are currently looking for a Transport Planner for our client in the Wakefield Area.

The successful candidate will be required to work the following shifts;

Monday to Friday 9 hrs per day with 1 hours break then once trained working on a 4 on 4 off basis

Your Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Route Planning
  • Using Road Runner Pro
  • Ensure Safe, Legal and effective planning of fleet and drivers
  • Plan inbound and outbound deliveries and collections
  • Develop and maintain good levels of communication throughout all depots
  • Good attention to details for inputting data
  • Communicate with other members and customers any issues that may arise
  • Regular communication with drivers throughout shifts-
  • Identifying any issues that may affect agreed delivery time

Candidates must have the following:

  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Experience of working within a busy transport office
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with managers, drivers and customers
  • Understanding & Knowledge of Geographical areas
  • Able to prioritise work load based on changes
  • Good literacy skills
  • High level of computer skills for using Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Able to maintain high level of performance whilst working under pressure
